COMMUNITY

One Love, One Mission

The mission of ASA Women Houston is to empower individuals to embrace African Culture, enhance health, and assist the needy and the underprivileged.

Hope to stop cancer and manage chronic diseases across all populations before it’s too Late!  Also, to build on the strength of the younger generation so they find safety, hope and success in life. So, collaborating with partners, our focus includes:

Health Awareness:

To help save lives from all forms of cancer (especially breast, ovarian, colon and prostate) through annual “Marathon Cancer Walk for Hope to End Cancer”

To enlighten families impacted by chronic diseases (e.g. Hypertension and Diabetes)

To help the needy/underprivileged at medical Treatment Centers with resources

In all, empowering individuals with better health education, to know their risks, engage in early detection and manage their health proactively.

Children and Youth Program:

We strive to instill in the children and youth of this community the ideas of African Culture, good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty and service of teamwork so they may become strong, healthy and well-adjusted members of our larger community both in USA and Nigeria.
