For those who do not know, Anambra is a state in southeastern Nigeria – first formed in 1976 from the northern half of East-Central state, and in 1991 it was considerably reduced in area by an administrative reorganization that created the new state of Enugu. Anambra State Association Women (ASA Women) HOUSTON is therefore a representation of women from Anambra State through birth, marriage, or adoption. Just for clarity, we are not a social club but a community organization bonded by ancestral kinship with core objective to empower individuals to embrace the African Culture, enhance health, and assist the needy and the underprivileged.
My name is Nina Ulasi – afa otutum bu Osodie-eme, and I am the President of ASA-Women. Together, we work as a team to provide a forum that fosters the welfare of Anambra Women, their children and men. As a family, we empower individuals to embrace African Culture, enhance health, and assist the needy and the underprivileged. Our motto is Love, Unity, Respect, Integrity and Prosperity, and we adopt these themes as spiritual guidance in fulfilling our community obligations.
I thank you so much for visiting our site, and I am also inviting you to contact us for any questions regarding our organization. Our vision is an urgent cause. We are vigorously working to save lives from all forms of cancer through our annual “Marathon Cancer Walk.” Your support would be highly valued and appreciated.
Besides being the one of most diverse cities in the United States, Houston is also the more of thousands of Anambrarians. By ancestral rights, all Anambra women, be it through birth, marriage, or adoption belong to this great cause – therefore I am specially asking those who are yet to officially reach out to do so at their convenient.
